Article Summary: Fashion month runs September 10 to October 6, and the debuts are already over. Spring 2027 is where Blazy, Anderson, Demna and the rest get graded. Our ten most anticipated shows, from Prada opening Milan in a new slot to Julie Kegels showing in Paris days after winning the LVMH Prize.
Fashion month opens in five days, and the industry arrives with rather fewer questions than a year ago. Most of the great creative-director shuffle has already happened, finally. The Spring 2027 runway shows are therefore the season where the new appointments stop introducing themselves and start being judged.
Spring 2027 fashion month runs from September 10 to October 6, 2026, across New York, London, Milan and Paris. New York opens on September 10 and London follows on September 17. Milan runs September 22 to 28, and Paris closes from September 28 to October 6. Paris alone carries 68 runway shows and 33 presentations.
What Is the Spring 2027 Fashion Week Schedule?
Four cities, twenty-seven days, one fixed order. The fashion week schedule 2026 closes with Paris, as it always does. New York Fashion Week September 2026 runs September 10 to 15. London Fashion Week 2026 follows from September 17 to 21.
Milan Fashion Week Spring 2027 takes September 22 to 28, opening with Vogue World Milano on the first day. Paris Fashion Week Spring 2027 closes the circuit from September 28 to October 6.
That sequence has held for decades, largely because it mirrors each city’s commercial role. New York sells, London experiments, Milan manufactures and, ultimately, Paris decides.

The 10 Most Anticipated Spring 2027 Runway Shows
Ten shows carry the season, and each falls into one of three categories. Debuts, second collections, and houses now under new ownership of their own history.
The table below sets out where each show sits, who is expected, and where the design language originally came from. Every house on it is working from a founder’s vocabulary rather than a blank page. Consequently it reads as much as a lineage map as a schedule.

Milan Carries the Weight
Prada opens the week, and the slot change matters more than it sounds. Prada Spring 2027 therefore sets the tone for the entire Italian calendar. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons move to 2pm on September 22, ahead of the entire calendar. The house has run on intellectual friction since 1913.
Giorgio Armani is, unavoidably, the emotional centre of the season. This is the first full Spring collection since the founder’s death last September. Silvana Armani now leads womenswear, after her couture debut in January. The unstructured jacket she inherits was invented in Milan in 1975. It remains the single most influential garment the city has produced.
Demna’s second Gucci runway collection follows a notably divisive first. The Florentine house was founded in 1921 on leather goods and equestrian hardware. Gucci Demna Spring 2027 has to reach past the Tom Ford era he referenced heavily in February.
Moschino meanwhile delivers the season’s clearest debut. Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo, formerly of Sunnei, show on September 25. The house was built in 1983 on Franco Moschino’s surrealist satire of fashion itself. Notably, few appointments have ever matched a designer duo to a house temperament this precisely.
Paris Decides, as Always
Chanel is still the appointment everyone books flights around. Matthieu Blazy has now had a full year. This collection establishes whether his Chanel is a reinterpretation or a rebuild. The house codes date to 1910 and rest on jersey, tweed and the removal of the corset.
Dior sits in a similar position under Jonathan Anderson, although the pressure is different. The Bar jacket and the 1947 New Look are the most codified silhouette in fashion. Anderson has spent several collections testing how much of it survives contact with his own instincts.
Louis Vuitton closes fashion month once again, having reclaimed the slot this season. Nicolas Ghesquière works from a house founded in 1854 on trunk-making. That tension between travel hardware and futurist tailoring has defined his entire tenure.
Julie Kegels, meanwhile, shows in Paris carrying something none of the others have. She won the LVMH Prize on Friday night, which makes this her first collection as the industry’s officially anointed newcomer. Her design language comes out of Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the school that produced the Antwerp Six. Consequently she arrives in Paris with a lineage rather than a launch.
London and New York Set the Terms
Alexander McQueen returns to London, its birthplace, and the symbolism is already doing real work. The house was founded there in 1992, on Savile Row tailoring filtered through Central Saint Martins. Showing anywhere else was always a compromise.
Diane von Furstenberg opens the entire season on September 10, with Henry Zankov’s debut as artistic director. DVF was built in New York in 1974 on a single garment, the jersey wrap dress. Zankov arrives from knitwear with a reputation for colour rather than nostalgia.
Thom Browne then closes New York on home ground, having shown recent collections in Milan and San Francisco. Similarly, Tory Burch shows on September 10. Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler and Calvin Klein Collection follow on the 11th, with Khaite on the 12th.
