Denise Richards has spent decades moving between movies, scripted television and reality TV, but in this exclusive RUNWAY Magazine interview, the actress turns the focus toward family, resilience, beauty, fashion and what keeps her moving forward after years in Hollywood.

For the accompanying RUNWAY editorial, Richards made the experience a family affair, stepping in front of the camera with her daughters for a striking studio shoot photographed by Kimberly Metz at Flashaus Studios. The result captures another side of the actress and model: glamorous, candid and surrounded by the family that has become such an important part of her public life.

In the conversation, Richards reflects on the personal and professional highs and lows of a long entertainment career, her connection with fans and whether she would consider returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She also shares the beauty and fitness habits she has maintained for years, from skincare and Pilates to the cardio and weight training she embraced while preparing for Special Forces.

Fashion comes naturally into the conversation. Richards reveals that beneath the red carpets and high-glamour shoots, she remains a jeans-and-T-shirt woman, names Mother Jeans and Skims among her favorites, and admits that her love of sparkle has survived whether or not the trend cycle agreed.

Family is at the center of the interview as Richards discusses working with her daughters and the reality project bringing them together on screen. And after a career spanning nearly every major entertainment genre, she still has another ambition on her list: a Marvel movie.

In this exclusive RUNWAY interview, Denise Richards talks family, fame, RHOBH, beauty, style, reality television and why continuing to work remains one of the accomplishments she values most.

DENISE RICHARDS INTERVIEW

Denise you rocked the cover of “Runway” by including your daughters! We have never done this before and I believe this was a first for you too! Tell us about the experience!

I loved this photoshoot. The styling was fun, Kimberly the photographer is amazing & I got to shoot with my daughters.

You’re a beautifully accomplished woman. You’ve had an incredibly successful career and have such an amazing family. What do you want people to know about you today?

I have been in this business for a long time. I’ve had many ups & downs personally & professionally. I think I want people to know to keep on moving forward with a dream. I feel incredibly grateful to continue working & doing a job I love.

You have so many male and female fans- The extraordinary thing is, they seem to continue following your journey in life! Why do you think that is?

I actually don’t know. I recently have gone to a few Comic Con events & it’s been really humbling meeting fans there. To be able to meet in person & have that connection it means a lot to me. Without fans I wouldn’t have a job & I don’t take that for granted. I feel very blessed.

What did you learn about yourself and the other women by participating on The Real Housewives of Bev Hills… The question on the street is will you return?

I always say never say never. I have a lot of good memories being on the show. It’s fun doing the trips and to just have fun & be silly women acting much younger than we are. I’ll never forget a lot of moments I had doing the show. I also had some challenging times on it too. I think fame can change people & Some women are different on camera and off camera. But I would definitely be open to going back and spending time with all the ladies.

Your beauty has always been the focus for many. Is that hard to keep up with? Any valuable secrets you can share with us regarding your skincare and exercise regime?

I have always taken care of my skin since I was a teenager. I drink about two liters of water a day I think that helps, I exercise a lot. I have always done Pilates. I really got into cardio and weights when I signed on to do Special Forces. I had 3 weeks to prepare and I worked my butt off until I left. I hired an incredible trainer at a place called Pro Active and I still work out with him.

Is it true that lashes are a girl’s best friend?

I love lashes. I have a hard time with fake ones because of the glue! I am trying to find the perfect one … haven’t yet!

Love your nickname of “Fluffy Girl” can you share the origin?

I leave never had the nickname fluffy girl. I don’t know where that came from…

We know you have a fond love for fur and feathers, when did this start and is this still an extravagant part of the wardrobe?

I don’t wear real fur… only faux, and I have always loved sparkles! Even when they weren’t in style. I still loved a bit of sparkle.

What is the most flattering article of clothing you cannot live without?

I am a jeans and t-shirt girl. I love Mother Jeans every time I wear them my husband always notices my tush. And my favorite t-shirt right now is Skims. They’re so flattering.

We know you have been diligently working on a special project…Are you ready to share with our viewers the exciting news???

I’m doing a reality show with my family. I can’t wait for everyone to see it. It’s surreal thinking back to our first family reality show, Sami and Lola were 3&4 years old and now they’re 19&20 and I they have their sister Eloise she’s 13& I have a husband now. It’s a fun show with lots of exciting friends that show up and it’s coming out soon.

What has been your biggest and best accomplishment so far in the entertainment industry?

I feel my biggest accomplishment is I’m still working. I have filmed just about every genre there is. I’ve done movies, scripted tv shows & reality shows. I feel incredibly lucky that I continue to work & have a career.

Is there anything you would like to work with more so in the future?

I would love to do a Marvel movie!
