Article Summary: Kith and Salomon release three winter silhouettes today, contrasting a higher collar, a covered lacing system and the familiar lower XT-4 profile. #KithSalomon #XT4KMid #XTVYGR2 #XT4OG

Kith Salomon Winter 2026 reaches its global release today with three different approaches to the trail-shoe silhouette. The XT-4K Mid raises the collar, the XT-VYGR 2 covers its laces, and the XT-4 OG keeps a lower, more exposed profile. Those differences matter more to an outfit than treating the collection as one shoe in several colors.

The global release follows Vancouver’s early access

The official Kith announcement sets the global release for October 26 through Kith shops, Kith.com and the Kith App. The stated online time is 11 a.m. regional time. Confirm the clock attached to your regional storefront rather than assuming one worldwide release instant.

Kith Vancouver received an earlier October 23 release around the flagship opening. The app drawing also preceded today’s general release. Those routes are separate. A closed drawing does not, by itself, answer what a store or regional website will offer during the regular sale.

The XT-4K Mid adds height without hiding its origin

The new mid-cut construction takes the existing XT-4K idea upward around the ankle. Mesh and synthetic overlays keep the body visually connected to technical footwear, while the higher collar changes the amount of shoe visible beneath a trouser hem.

That proportion is the design story. With a shorter trouser leg, the collar becomes part of the silhouette. With a longer one, the upper can disappear into the hem and leave the outsole doing most of the visual work. The same pair can therefore look quite different without a change of color.

Kith identifies Black, Green Gaze and Olive Night in this model’s palette. The darker combination makes the relationship between the upper and sole important. In a photograph, look at where one mass ends and the next begins, rather than relying on a general impression of a dark sneaker.

The shroud makes the XT-VYGR 2 a different object

Ronnie Fieg’s XT-VYGR 2 returns after its spring debut. The ripstop shroud conceals the lacing system, giving the upper a more continuous surface. A hex-camo print at the toe adds pattern without requiring visible laces to supply the central detail.

This is the pair to examine if a conventional trail-shoe front feels too busy. Covering the laces does not remove the shoe’s technical references. It reorganizes them. The outline and the changes in material have more room to register because the eye does not stop first at a series of crossings.

The winter palette combines Dark Navy, Dusty Orchid and Transparent. Kith also specifies TPU and heatmelt overlays in the construction. Those are material and assembly details, not evidence that RUNWAY has tested the shoe in bad weather or measured its durability.

The XT-4 OG keeps the familiar lower profile

The collection’s XT-4 OG uses Maroon Banner, Nocturne and Knockout Pink. Its lower outline offers a useful contrast with the mid-cut design. A visible tongue and the arrangement of overlays give this model a more articulated front than the shrouded alternative.

A pink accent near the ground can connect with another small color elsewhere in an outfit. It does not require a matching jacket. A sock or a narrow shirt detail can establish that relationship while allowing the rest of the clothes to remain quiet.

The collection places Kith branding on the tongue and footbed of this model. That does not mean branding plays the same visual role across all three designs. Compare the actual side and top views before choosing the version that seems least or most conspicuous in a single campaign crop.

The height difference also affects what sits above the shoe. A visible sock can create a gap between a low collar and cropped trousers. The mid-cut option occupies more of that same space. For Kith Salomon Winter 2026, compare the complete leg line before assuming the taller model will look like a boot.

Choose the trouser relationship before the colorway

For a wider trouser, check how the hem sits above the sole. Fabric pooling over a detailed upper may conceal the feature that made the shoe appealing. A slightly different break can reveal the collar or shroud without requiring an entirely different outfit.

A narrower leg exposes more of the shoe’s volume. That can be useful if the footwear should anchor the look, but it can also make a substantial sole feel larger. The question is proportion, rather than an instruction that technical sneakers belong with one approved trouser shape.

Our Street Style coverage examines this movement between performance references and everyday clothes. Kith Salomon Winter 2026 supplies three distinct starting points, so the decision need not begin and end with which color photographs best.

Check the product page at the sale

The Kith storefront provides the route into the regional release. Check the selected model’s price, size and order conditions there. The collection announcement establishes the release plan; it does not guarantee that each size will remain available once the sale starts.

The XT-4K Mid creates the most immediate change at the ankle, but the lower pair may work better beneath a trouser that already carries volume. That relationship is the deciding detail in RUNWAY Magazine’s reading of Kith Salomon Winter 2026. Keep the intended trousers in view when comparing the three profiles.
